Frequently Asked Questions
Where will my session take place?
Your session will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room. Soft music may be played to help you relax. You will lie on a massage table especially designed for your comfort.
Must I be completely undressed?
Most massage and bodywork techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed; however, it is entirely up to you. You should undress to your level of comfort. You will be properly draped at all times.
Will the practitioner be present when I disrobe?
The practitioner will leave the room while you undress, take your place on the table, and cover yourself with a clean sheet and blanket. They will knock before re-entering the room.
Will I be covered during the session?
Yes. You will be properly draped at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked on will be exposed, ensuring your privacy and comfort throughout the treatment.
What should I do during the session?
Make yourself comfortable. The practitioner will either move you or tell you what is needed. Many people just close their eyes and relax. Feel free to give feedback on pressure or technique at any time.
Are there medical conditions to consider?
Yes. It is imperative that you provide accurate health information before the session. I will review your history to ensure it is safe for you to receive massage, or if we need to modify the treatment.
